Location The Chail Palace Hotel spreads across 75 acres of land, enjoying the prime location in the small town of Chail. With its driveway connected to the main Shimla - Chail Road, it lies at the foremost edge of the town. Offering resplendent beauty and spectacular views, it also provides easy access to all places of tourist and commercial interest in and around Chail. Chail can be accessed from Shimla (40 km) or when coming from Chandigarh a road bifercuates at Kandaghat on NH-22. A stately palace dating back to 1819, the Chail Palace was converted into a hotel by Himachal Tourism in 1972. 

Surrounded by a thick deodar and pine forest, the hotel offers peaceful environs along with splendid facilities and services. On entering the hotel through the entrance near the parking area, guests are welcomed into a huge lobby that has a ceiling as high as two floors. 

The 53 rooms at the hotel are divided into 2 Semi Deluxe rooms, 13 Deluxe rooms, 3 Super Deluxe rooms, 1 Maharaja Suite and 2 Maharani Suites, 1 Deluxe Log Hut, 5 Regular Log Huts and 9 rooms spread across three cottages.
